The SEE River project has been a project about the future – the future of our rivers and the future of cross-sectoral cooperation to better manage them in the years to come. Reaching consensus of stakeholders on needed measures and setting action plans on how to implement these measures have led to identifying and triggering over 100 concerete actions to be implemented in the next years.
As a results of pilot activities along the rivers Drava, Bodrog, Neretva, Prut, Soča, Vjosa and later also Kolubara, the agreed measures led to new project proposals that will be launched, prepared and implemented in the 2014-2020 period - and beyond - in all 16 countries, ripararian to the listed rivers.
